On my first official day of dejunking, I dejunked double. However, I didn't document it because that is how laser focused I was. So, I am blogging about it today.
My first order of business was to conquer the junk drawer. Duh, right? I dumped out the contents, threw one third of it away (mostly Godiva chocolate wrappers) and proceeded to line the drawer with a plastic apple container from Costco. I then filled the circular compartments with all of the necessities, such as pens, chapstick, paper clips, elastic ties, more Godiva chocolates, ect. Anyways, it's beautiful. I want to take a picture of it, frame it and hang it on the wall; that's how much I love it.
Secondly, my husband's Christmas gift to me (which I picked out and bought myself) has been sitting on the kitchen counter for nearly two months now. It's a lovely new set of dishes and mugs. I've been meaning to give them a proper, comfy home but it just hadn't happened yet. I finally packed up our old ones to give away and tucked my new babies in. It didn't take nearly as long as I had been envisioning and I felt a surge of productive energy afterwards.
Happy sigh.
(Photos coming soon.)
